More about us, should you wish to continue reading...

I am often asked how I got started in this business and when did my love of fragrance begin.  The ladies (and men) in my family were always big fragrance wearers.  From my great grandmother down to my mom, they always smelled so good and they all had signature fragrances (before I even understood or knew that was a thing).  I started out by trying theirs and of course, as a child, they were too adult for me, but I would buy my own cheapies here and there.  By the time I was about 20, I had a small collection of about 10 fragrances.  I didn't consider myself a collector (again, I wasn't even aware this was a thing), but just an appreciator.  Lol!

About 18 years ago, my step-mom got me a bar of soap for Christmas from a boutique she found.  It was Rance 1795 Tuberose.  I was absolutely head over heals in love with it.  I used it sparingly on my hands only.  I just couldn't get enough.  Then the boutique closed!!!  I couldn't find it anywhere!!  My mom and husband got together and started hunting for it and found a wholesaler in Northern California.

It was around this time that we lost a family construction business (2009) when everything crashed.  I was frantically selling anything and everything I could find (just "stuff" around the house) to make ends meet, so I opened an eBay store.  Since I had the eBay store, the wholesaler said we could buy the soaps from them provided we met the minimum order and bought in bulk.

So, my mom and husband saved up and bought me my first bulk order.  We stored them in the crawl space and I still used them sparingly.  However, they bought me about 6 other perfumed soaps as well from Rance 1795.  They were all heavenly!!  But, I still used them sparingly to make them last.

Then the California wholesaler closed. 😳

Turns out, their corporate office was on the East Coast.  We started dealing with them in 2016.

My husband was in a car accident in 2017 that totaled our car and left us with an unplanned car payment. That was actually the catalyst that started the actual retail journey.

We decided to try and sell some fragrances as a side hobby (I still work full time as well) to help make ends meet.  Our prayer was that we would make enough with this hobby to cover the unplanned car payment each month.  Things just snowballed from there and we have expanded from Rance 1795 and Comptoir Sud Pacifique (our second fragrance house) to our more recent additions of Carner Barcelona, Parfums de Marly and Initio Parfums.

It has been an amazing journey so far and we are excited for what's to come.  We appreciate each and every one of you and are completely overwhelmed with the support and love we've been shown.  Thank you all!!  💙
