“Honey, frangipani and green tea - all rather sophisticated.

Centrepiece is a smooth, sophisticated fragrance that blends its elements so that no particular one stands out. If you try, you'll detect the honey, frangipani flowers and cedarwood, with a light, green tea freshness.

It came into being after a trip to Fortnum & Mason's ice cream parlour, and a stroll around the perfumery. There we met a perfume connoisseur who dropped into the studio a couple of months later, and picked out his favourite materials: green tea, our honey accord, frangipani absolute and cedarwood. Sarah took those and added ice cream fragrances: vanilla, citrus sorbets, a hint of chocolate.

When we all sat around the lab benches sniffing it it gave us a gentle feeling of peace, of finding our calm centre in a busy world. So it became Centrepiece."
