From Gallagher Fragrances:

“O'Hello is the next release following O'Fraiche and O'Vert in the line of "green" fragrances in the "O apostrophe" series. O'Hello came to be after I revisited an ingredient which is not-so-forgiving to work with: Violet Leaf Absolute.

Violet Leaf Absolute is very dark green in color and comes in a concrete format, meaning it requires heating before use. A little goes a long way, but as with most of my creations, I lean toward overdosing my favorite ingredients in the formulae, and O'Hello is no exception, with Violet Leaf Absolute making up 3.896% of the formula. This may not sound like a lot, but it certainly is 🤓

O'Hello does not fit perfectly into any core olfactory genre, but instead straddles genres such as citrus aromatic, aromatic green, fougère, and woody floral musk. In effect, O'Hello opens with citrus and aromatic notes of Sweet Basil, Bigarade, Bergamot, Green Mandarin, and Ginger. The heart consists of bright floral notes of Neroli, Orange Blossom, Jasmine, Ylang, Ylang, and a pinch of Tuberose. The foundation of O'Hello rests on Orris Butter, Velvetwood, Oakmoss, Patchouli, and Musk. The Violet Leaf is ever-present from start to finish, with most diffusion being apparent in the opening and the heart. A solid spring/summer scent, O'Hello makes for a great conversation-starter. "Oh........hello." :)

Fun Facts: "Velvetwood" is a simple accord I created made up of Ambroxan, Iso E Super, and Sandalwood, which to me, connotes more of a texture than a scent. Violet Leaf Absolute is one of the more expensive and labor-intensive perfumery ingredients due to its requirement for ~2,300 kilograms of violet leaves to produce 1 kilogram of Absolute."
